A Mother’s Touch Foundation was born out of a deep passion to empower young women and girls, providing them with the opportunities, resources, and support they need to thrive. Founded in the Maryland-District of Columbia-Virginia (DMV) area, the foundation is dedicated to uplifting underserved communities locally and globally, with a special focus on education, personal growth, and community service.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to shaping the next generation of female leaders. One of our cornerstone initiatives is “Our Daughter’s Prom,” which gives high school girls the chance to experience a prom send-off like no other. We provide dresses, makeup, hairstyling, shoes, and professional photoshoots, all in celebration of their hard work. Participants are chosen based on academic achievement, attendance, and dedication to community service, showing our belief that excellence deserves to be rewarded. We also offer college textbook vouchers to students from first-generation college families, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of their education.
Our reach extends beyond the DMV. Through our global efforts, we are working to improve educational access in rural areas of Ghana. One of our current goals is to establish a community library and computer workstations, giving children and young women the tools they need to grow, learn, and succeed.
A Mother’s Touch Foundation is fueled by the support of generous donors and community partners. Our fundraising events—like the “Mother’s Helping Mothers Brunch,” “Tea Party,” and “Mother’s Helping Mothers Gala”—help sustain these programs and allow us to expand our impact. With every event, donation, and volunteer effort, we are building a community that believes in the power of women and the importance of investing in their future.
